Toyota to Launch its Self-Driving Car by Next Year

Toyota is working on a car that will be able to drive at its own by the next year. The Japanese automaker says it will be the “most powerful supercomputer on wheels. “

But, the Japanese automaker has a lot of work to do. It must slash the cost of the technology, develop hardware and software, and augment the hiring of the software engineers who will make it all happen.

Toyota is working with a small company called TRI-AD which is run by James Kuffner.

TRI-AD is tasked with bridging the gap between a prototype and the product.
