A Beta "Fully Autonomous" Version of Tesla is Coming this Week

Tesla may be in all the electric headlines for its odd price drop on the Model S, but the automaker's CEO announced some big news in a tweet last week. Before we get to the bottom of it, we must go back to where it started. During Tesla's annual Battery Day earlier in September, Musk claimed that a special beta test of the brand's fully autonomous driving range would be released in the coming months. By the end of October, it became clear that Tesla was progressing over its schedule with a test run.
