Toyota announced an updated Land Cruiser 300 Series in Japan on September 16, with one of the biggest changes being the addition of hybrid models. Hybrid versions will be available in the ZX and GR SPORT grades, expanding electrification into one of Toyota's most prominent large SUVs. The updated range is scheduled to go on sale in Japan on October 1.
Toyota is also updating equipment across the Land Cruiser 300 range. Depending on grade, available features include wireless charging, a 14-speaker JBL premium audio system, rear-seat entertainment, a Multi-Terrain Monitor, digital rear-view mirror and an emergency-capable AC100V/1,500W power outlet. The GX grade receives changes aimed more directly at off-road use, including front and rear differential locks.
