Toyota Will Build Future Pickups on a Single Platform
Future Toyota Pickups are expected to share one platform. According to a report one new platform internally designated F1 will underpin both the Toyota Tacoma and Toyota Tundra. The new platform is nearing completion and it is expected to be seen in 2021.
Using one platform globally could significantly reduce costs and complexity. It would also help to streamline the company’s production while stamping out the needs for multiple truck platforms.
