Auto Industry’s Coronavirus Fears Shifting from Supply to Demand
Automakers and suppliers from the whole world have been scrambling to keep production due to the coronavirus closes plants across China. But these days a bigger fear is emerging that consumers may not be in the mood to buy cars and trucks. With more than 1 lac cases of coronavirus worldwide, auto industry observers expecting that in 2020 automotive cut it forecast by 300,000 to 16.5 million, lower than 2014. Globally they have subtracted 3.5 million units, more than half of which is attributed to China.
