Honda Details E Electric City Car “Skateboard” Chassis

Honda’s all-new eclectic city car is off to a favorable start. Earlier, reports suggested that more than 31,000 people have reserved the Honda e. Now, Honda has revealed the “skateboard” that will underpin the EV.

The chassis of the Honda e shows that the compact will be rear-wheel drive with the battery fitting below the floor and between the axles for optimum balance. The motor sits on the rear axle to promote better steering. Everything drives on four-wheel independent suspension utilizing forged aluminum to save weight.
