Tesla Lost an Estimated $ 240 Million in Revenue  as Stellantis said It Would No Longer Need to Buy Emissions Credits

Stellantis said on Wednesday it no longer needs to buy emissions credits from Tesla as the European carmaker hopes to meet its emissions target this year. The emission credits purchased by Stellantis will provide Tesla with an additional $ 240 million in revenue this year. But Stellantis announced on Wednesday that it is pulling out of a European emission credit deal with Tesla. Meeting the standards alone will save the company around 300 million euros ($ 360 million), about two-thirds of which will go to Tesla, Stellantis.
