Honda reported a 50% drop in operating profit for the April–June quarter, attributing a ¥125 billion loss to 27.5% U.S. import tariffs and foreign exchange pressures. The resulting ¥244.2 billion ($1.66 billion) profit fell well below analyst expectations of ¥311.7 billion
