Subaru revealed an upgraded version of its EyeSight driver assistance system featuring faster object recognition, improved night-time detection, and expanded intersection collision avoidance capabilities.

The improved technology is scheduled to appear across several Subaru models beginning later in the year. Company engineers say the enhanced software will help reduce urban accidents while maintaining Subaru's reputation for vehicle safety.
