Subaru to Launch Its First Plug-In Hybrid: Subaru Crosstech Hybrid

Subaru will launch its first plug-in hybrid later this year. It will go on sale as 2019. The 2019 Hybrid Crosstech will use hybrid tech from Toyota. Subaru has partnered with Toyota on the development of electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles.  

Subaru offered a hybrid version of the previous-generation Crosstech, but it was without a plug. It was only offered from model years 2014 to 2016, but did not offer significant fuel advantage over the non-hybrid Crosstrek.
