“Toyota GAZOO Racing Festival” held at Fuji Speedway in 2019 December 15
Toyota GAZOO Racing (TGR) year-end annual fan event at Fuji Speedway will be held this year. “TOYOTA GAZOO Racing FESTIVAL 2019” is scheduled for December 15th, and parking ticket sales have already begun on September 2nd (entrance is free).
Last year was TOYOTA GAZOO Racing FESTIVAL (TGRF), which was a little early in November. It was held with great congratulatory material, the achievement of the long-cherished Le Mans 24-hour race first win and the first manufacturer's title after returning to the World Rally Championship (WRC). The atmosphere is likely to become.
At the beginning of this year, Toyota won the first Dakar Rally four-wheel championship for the first time. For the 2020 tournament, there is also a new development in which Fernando Alonso, who is now the “ace” of TGR, is preparing for the war. In the WRC 2019 season, both the reversal of the Championship and the acquisition of Ot Tanak's Individual Throne are both possible (as of the remaining four races).
For the World Endurance Championship (WEC) including Le Mans, Le Mans has already been won for the second consecutive year, and two crowns of drivers and teams for the 2018/2019 season have been won. The 2019/2020 season also started with the opening round 1-2 finish. And on the domestic front, in the SUPER GT / GT500 class, the Lexus LC500s are building their dominance and are fighting the 2019 season for the first time in two years.
By the way, the WEC for the yearly straddle season is scheduled for the final day of the fourth round of Bahrain in the 2019/2020 season (December 14 of the previous day of TGRF 2019). Considering the time difference, it seems likely that it will be a TGRF day when a fresh newsletter arrives (although the impact of the success handicap system that is in operation from this season is unknown).
TGRF 2019 is free entry. As for parking tickets, “designated parking tickets (P6, P12, P13)”, “four-wheel parking tickets”, and “two-wheeled parking tickets” are available on September 2 at Lawson (4 wheel 1700 yen, 2 wheel 900 yen). The sale ends when the number reaches the fixed number (no parking is possible on the day if the parking lot is full and there is no parking ticket).
Another annual end-of-year motor sports festival at Fuji Speedway, “NISMO FESTIVAL”, is scheduled to be held on December 8th (ticket sales start from October 1st). Both events are expected to be announced in the future, such as drivers who will participate in the event.
